In die twee maanden best wel wat films gezien. Het zijn voornamelijk korte films. Het grootste gedeelte van de films zijn Engels ondertiteld. Er zaten een aantal tussen die ik wel erg graag wilde zien en dat waren Burning Sun en Sami Boy. Nog lang niet alle films gezien en er worden elke keer nieuwe films toegevoegd. Ontzettend interessant om de films te bekijken. Het geeft je een goed inzicht in het leven van de Sami. Hieronder de films die ik gezien heb:

I know how it feels to not be able to breathe, because I have pollen allergies and asthma, and they clog my lungs every year. If the catastrophe was to happen, I need to be with my family in Kiruna. The earth feels closer to me up north. That’s where I want to be in case of a crisis. The prime minister said on the radio that it’s common sense not to travel from Stockholm. Which hurt, because of course I have normal common sense.
The train was scheduled for 6 PM, and three hours before the train left I started to realize that I couldn’t leave. I sat across from my 10 year old daughter and cried, and said that we probably couldn’t go. She started to prepare for this, and started packing up, before throwing herself onto the couch. The short film Aquarium is directed by Yvonne Thomassen. The young boy Amir is about to freeze to death and is forced to find shelter from the ice cold winter storms. This leads to an unexpected meeting between past and present.
In the wilderness of the tundra somewhere in Sapmi, a reindeerherder and his daughter are in a Lavvo relaxing and enjoying life. Suddenly, far away they hear sound of a snow mobile, clearly moving towards them. The reindeerherder, her father, prepares his daughter for what might happen.
This action sami thriller takes your heartbeat to another level.
